Lynchburg Men, Washington and Lee Women Lead After Day 1 of ODAC Indoor Championships

LYN's Jordan, Victoria Set New Conference Championship Records

SALEM, Va. — Two new championship records were set on the men's side of the ledger as the first 10 events of 32 overall are in the books following the first day of competition at the 2026 ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted at Bast-Cregger Field House on Roanoke College's campus.

Lynchburg is the early leader in the men's ranks with 69.0 points, winning 3-of-5 events competed on Friday. Washington and Lee holds the top position in the women's competition with 50.5 points through five events.

The two new ODAC championship records were both from Lynchburg and both previously set ODAC overall records during the regular season. Distance runner Alex Jordan twice reset the 5,000-meter run overall benchmark prior to the league's championship showcase. In fact, the event has thrice seen a new entry this year with WLU's Keaton Rush first to establish a new overall mark earlier this year. On Friday, Jordan claimed the ODAC 5K championship record with a time of 14:30.30 to eclipse the previous record of 14:37.58 set by former Lynchburg star Frank Csorba in 2023.

Lynchburg jumper Lamont Victoria has turned the page on the high jump record each of the past two weekends. Last Saturday, Victoria snapped a long-standing overall record in the event by clearing 2.15 meters (7-0.50). Today he left the bar on its perch at 2.10 meters (6-10.75) to take control of the championship standard from former EMU standout Jordan King, who cleared 2.05 meters in 2014.

In the sections below, we highlight the full team standings, note any records achieved, and identify each of the event winners through the first day of competition.
