King, a senior from Suffolk, Va., and Logan, a first-year from Fruitland Park, Fla., share this week's ODAC men's golfer award after the pair tied for second at the Marlins Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan at Cypress Point Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va. The Marlins' duo finished at 6-over 150, just one shot behind Aidan Hollar from Pfeiffer University following 36 holes of play on the par-72 layout set to 6,541 yards. While both players represented VWU, King played as a member of the Marlins' five-man scoring team while Logan competed as an individual player. King opened with a 2-over 74 that featured a trio of birdies and an eagle on the par-5 508-yard eighth hole. He notched a pair of birdies in round two on the way to a 4-over 76. Logan's opening 18 holes also featured three birdies and 12 pars to power him to a 1-over 73. He registered two more birdies in his second round to help him card a 5-over 77. For the season, King features a 75.0 adjusted scoring average over 10 rounds of competition. He began the spring ranked No. 849 by Clippd, but has improved drastically to No. 385 following this tournament. Logan owns a 77.6 adjusted scoring average over 10 rounds of play. His effort this week improve his Clippd ranking to No. 788, a jump of 304 spots on the D-III chart.
Virginia Wesleyan tied for first with Pfeiffer University at 35-over 611 (305-306). Following the 36-hole event, VWU improved nine spots on the Clippd table to No. 95 in Division III.
